Installation & Setup

Step-by-step guide to installing and configuring Woo Form Builder on your WordPress site. Get up and running in minutes.

System Requirements

Before installing, ensure your server meets these minimum requirements:

Required

  • ✓ WordPress 5.8 or higher
  • ✓ WooCommerce 5.0 or higher
  • ✓ PHP 7.4 or higher
  • ✓ MySQL 5.6 or higher

Recommended

  • ✓ WordPress 6.0+
  • ✓ WooCommerce 7.0+
  • ✓ PHP 8.0+
  • ✓ 256MB+ memory limit

Installation Methods

Method 1: WordPress Admin (Recommended)

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard
  2. Navigate to Plugins → Add New
  3. Search for "Woo Form Builder"
  4. Click Install Now next to the plugin
  5. After installation, click Activate

Method 2: Manual Upload

  1. Download the plugin ZIP file from your account
  2. Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin
  3. Click Choose File and select the ZIP file
  4. Click Install Now
  5. After upload completes, click Activate Plugin

Method 3: FTP/SFTP Upload

  1. Extract the plugin ZIP file on your computer
  2. Connect to your server via FTP/SFTP
  3. Navigate to /wp-content/plugins/
  4. Upload the extracted woo-form-builder folder
  5. Go to WordPress admin → Plugins
  6. Find "Woo Form Builder" and click Activate

Initial Configuration

Step 1: License Activation

  1. Go to Woo Form Builder → Settings
  2. Click the License tab
  3. Enter your license key from your purchase email
  4. Click Activate License

Activating your license unlocks automatic updates, premium support, and advanced features like Smart Pricing and conditional logic.

Step 2: Configure Settings

Set up global preferences for all your forms:

Currency Settings

Configure currency symbol, position, and number formatting

Settings → Currency

Email Notifications

Set up email templates for form submissions

Settings → Email

Form Behavior

Control validation, AJAX submission, and cart behavior

Step 3: Verify WooCommerce Integration

  1. Ensure WooCommerce is installed and activated
  2. Go to WooCommerce → Settings
  3. Check that your store is properly configured
  4. Create a test product to attach forms to

Troubleshooting Installation Issues

Plugin won't activate?

  • Check that WordPress version is 5.8 or higher
  • Verify PHP version meets requirements (7.4+)
  • Check for plugin conflicts - temporarily deactivate other plugins
  • Increase PHP memory limit to 256MB in wp-config.php

License activation fails?

  • Verify license key is copied correctly (no extra spaces)
  • Check that your site URL matches the licensed domain
  • Ensure your server can make outbound connections
  • Contact support if license shows as "already used"

Admin menu not appearing?

  • Clear browser cache and WordPress object cache
  • Check user role has "manage_options" capability
  • Deactivate and reactivate the plugin
  • Check for JavaScript errors in browser console
